On September 8, 2025, IES Holdings, Inc. completed the closing of the formerly owned assets of Broadwind Heavy Fabrications, Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Broadwind. The asset sale has formed a new company name, Wisconsin Heavy Fabrication, LLC, that will operate under the IES Infrastructure division.
The transaction involved the sale of specific non-wind tower contracts, along with equipment, machinery, and a highly skilled workforce from the Manitowoc, Wisconsin, facility.
The acquisition of Wisconsin Heavy Fabrication significantly expands our operational scale and technical capabilities. It adds a 325,000 square foot production facility with over 13 acres of laydown space and access to a deepwater port. This location is equipped to handle some of the most demanding fabrication challenges, featuring high-capacity overhead cranes, two large-scale CNC machining centers, four oversized cutting tables, and more. This addition not only brings cutting-edge equipment, but also a highly skilled team with experience in large-format fabrication.
