Milestones


September 2013– MISCOR Group, Ltd. Was merged with and into a wholly-owned subsidiary of IES Holdings, Inc. to form the IES Infrastructure Solutions division.

May 2015– Southern Rewinding and Sales was acquired. A Columbus, Georgia based motor repair and related field services company to operate as a subsidiary of Magnetech. Southern Rewinding aids the Saraland location to better serve and grow Gulf Coast customers. 

October 2015 – Calumet Armature Electric was acquired. An Illinois based provider of design, manufacturing, assembly, and repair services of electric motors for the industrial and transit markets. Calumet enhances the industrial footprint in the greater Chicago area and supports targeted growth into the mass transit market.

June 2016– Technibus was acquired. A Canton, Ohio based manufacturer of custom-engineered, metal enclosed bus duct solutions, Technibus transformed IES Infrastructure from a business primarily focused on industrial repairs and services to a trusted provider of custom engineered solutions to customers.

March 2017– Freeman Enclosure Systems was acquired. Based outside of Cincinnati, Ohio, as a manufacturer of custom generator enclosures that are primarily used by data centers and large commercial and industrial facilities, Freeman adds valuable engineering and manufacturing capabilities to the suite of product and service solutions offerings to customers.

February 2020 – Plant Power & Control Systems was acquired. A Birmingham, AL-based manufacturer and installer of custom-engineered power distribution equipment, the acquisition of PPCS reinforces our strategy to strengthen our electro-mechanical product and service offerings through the addition of PPCS’s complementary offerings of custom power products.

November 2020– Wedlake Fabricating was acquired. A Tulsa, OK-based manufacturer of custom generator enclosures, Wedlake expands our geographic footprint and generator enclosure manufacturing capacity in the Midwest where we see significant growth potential. The operational talent and expertise of the Wedlake team, combined with IES’s financial and operational resources, gives us a substantial base to capture this market opportunity.

April 2024– Greiner Industries was acquired. Greiner Industries, Inc. is a Mount Joy, PA-based structural steel fabrication and services company. The acquisition also includes the purchase of Greiner’s facilities, which cover 450,000-square feet of manufacturing space on a 60-acre campus. Greiner, with 2023 revenue of approximately $58 million, will become part of IES’s Infrastructure Solutions segment and continue to operate under the Greiner name.
